John Crawford Marine has just landed this late model Bluefin 450 Scoundrel SC side console purchased new in November 2022.

The side console model is a popular choice and many brands have models on the market for comparison like the Quintrex Renegade / Stacer Outlaw and Stessl Warrior….

Although more expensive than the standard tiller steer models, most owners prefer a steering wheel and the additional space along with the wind protection offered by the side console module and screen.

We all desire economical motoring and reliability; this package is powered by a Tohatsu 60Hp EFI 4S that pushes this rig with ease, efficiency and reliability. Backed with the reassurance of a post-sale BIA Limited warranty and knowing the engine has had all the Tohatsu scheduled servicing completed since new.

The rig is fuelled via the upgraded at the time of order, underfloor 50L fuel tank to avoid the messing around at the fuel station with portable tote tanks.

Seating at the console is comfortable, with good leg room for taller people and fitted atop is a quality Humminbird Helix 7 fishfinder/sounder/GPS.  Further fitted are Tohatsu engine gauges and overhead a 3 bow bimini top provides shade from the midday sun. When not in use or when towing this can easily be lowered and stored in the built in storage sock.

The floor from bow to stern is carpeted suppressing noise and softer under foot and we like the amount of storage on offer – side pockets / under the casting deck and under the rear casting deck.

The angler will enjoy having a plumbed live bait tank fitted, numerous rod holders throughout and if you wanted to add a bow mount electric, a factory fitted bow mount plate has been installed.
