Commissioned in April 2025, this big platey was originally configured for the owner of Black Marlin Boats, with the brief being simple; build a hull capable of comfortable runs to the shelf, yet equally at home tucked away in a bay with the family swimming, snorkelling and enjoying a day on the water. With a substantial 450L underfloor fuel tank, range and peace of mind are assured.

For those who enjoy sitting on a bommie or holding position over structure without deploying a noisy conventional anchor or dealing with a sea drogue, you'll love the Garmin Force Kraken 36V electric bow mount fitted. This is the 100lb thrust model with a massive 90" shaft and Spot-Lock capability, effortlessly holding the BMF7200 in position whilst you focus on boating or landing the next fish. To ensure all-day performance, the Kraken is powered by a dedicated 36V lithium battery system, providing outstanding runtime and reduced weight.

The helm has been designed for long days on the water and comfortably accommodates two seated occupants. The dashboard houses an impressive suite of electronics including a Furuno FCV295 sounder paired to a 2kW transducer, complemented by two Lowrance HDS 12 multifunction displays. One unit is connected to a 3-in-1 transducer whilst the other is paired to a 1kW Airmar transducer. Whether sounding shallow reefs or searching deep offshore grounds, this electronics package leaves little to be desired.

Further within arm's reach you'll find a Garmin VHF radio, Fusion stereo system, Lenco trim tab controls, electric anchor winch controls, electrical switching and the Suzuki engine instrumentation.

Steering is light and precise via the Ultraflex hydraulic steering system and, for those longer runs offshore, the Suzuki DF300AP features digital throttle and shift technology, making operation smooth and effortless.

Overhead is a seriously well-built hardtop. Like the rest of the boat, there is nothing lightweight about its construction, providing excellent protection from the Queensland sun whilst making those longer offshore runs considerably more comfortable for crew aboard.

One particularly clever design feature is the generous storage area concealed beneath the forward console. Open the access door and you'll find ample dry storage along with a marine toilet for the family's convenience. It's a thoughtful touch and one that highlights the practical, user-focused design philosophy Black Marlin has become known for.

The cockpit has been purpose-built for anglers. A quality bait preparation station, extensive storage, deck wash system, live bait tank, twin 105L eskies and rod holders throughout ensure everything has its place. Braking performance is exceptional thanks to the Hydrastar electric-over-hydraulic braking system operating on all four wheels.
