The Kevlacat 1900 Offshore needs no introduction to the blue water angler and well-seasoned boatie. These rigs are synonymous for their true rough water capabilities that is demanded when venturing out wide in ultimately, a trailerable vessel.

Not many mono hulls can tackle the sea like a cat and this model has few peers. The senior owner has enjoyed the vessel for the comfortable passage making her way out to the offshore reefs from 1770 and the gentle ride it has provided him without having to have the following week to recover!

This rig is powered by dual four stroke Suzuki 90HP EFI outboards that have recorded a 436/437 hours respectively each. 

These lightweight four strokes deliver ample power to push this rig economically and the next buyer has the benefit of knowing that motors had their annual servicing completed by our local Suzuki dealer in June 2022 and they are backed with a limited BIA warranty.

The engines have also both been pre-inspected by our mechanics and had their computer diagnostic testing completed to confirm hours and condition.

The engines are fuelled via 2 x underfloor 150L underfloor fuel tanks for range, steering is made light via the Teleflex hydraulic steering system and Permatrim engine foils have been installed.

As the photos depict this is a huge 19 footer with deck space that rivals most 8m mono hulls offering the anglers loads of space with a generous beam and high topsides conducive for offshore fishing and jigging. 

The transom is well set up with moulded recesses for the separate batteries, live bait tank is fitted for the bait angler and a bait prep table can be kept cleaned with the deck wash system.

If you go out with more rods than found at the Tackle Warehouse, this rig has 4 quality stainless steel gunnel mounted rod holders and an overhead a stainless steel targa provides further rod storage for 4. 

Overhead a large bimini provides shelter from the midday sun and further fitted are side clears, a front clear and a travelling storm cover for additional protection as pictured.

The helm is well set up with features one would expect on a fishing boat of this calibre fitted with a Raymarine Axiom Pro 9 RVX Hybrid touch screen colour sounder/GPS, a Simrad GO7 Touch, GME VHF radio all within arm’s reach of the skipper. For those that enjoy their tunes whilst afloat, a Fusion MSRA50 stereo with Bluetooth is neatly installed with 2 speakers for sound.

Both standing and or sitting is comfortable with ample height for us tallies and room if seated. The cabin provides ample room for storing safety gear and the swags you wish to keep dry and out of the cockpit as pictured could also be fitted with some cushions down the track and make for a small berth for 2 squids.

Under the drivers and passenger seats are storage holds, one has been insulated for a large esky for the fish. Both seats have footrests and the passenger side, a glove box and safety grab rail installed.

Anchoring is made as a Lewmar Pro Series 700 anchor winch is installed and fitted with a Sarca anchor kit. Also on the foredeck stainless steel deck rails adds a nice stylish finish to the bow.

The angler will enjoy the large cockpit, offering self-draining decks, saltwater deck wash pump, enclosed battery storage, 2 large stainless steel bait prep tables, 2 x large live bait wells where one has been set up with re-circulating water system, overhead cockpit flood lighting and the removable cockpit carpet flooring for ease of cleaning.

Trailering

The rig is trailered on a cat designed Ruhle Kevlacat 2000 tandem axle trailer. Although these rigs are only 19 feet, they are trailered on a trailer that features break away brakes and this trailer has the Hydrastar electric over hydraulic system fitted and an ATM of 3000kg’s. You will need a large 4wd that has a tow capacity of at least 3000kg’s or more to safely tow.

The trailer has just been serviced with 4 brand new light truck tyres fitted / new springs / brake system overhaul to ensure its sold compliant and with a legitimate RWC. These rigs are very well balanced with the fabricated trailers allowing maybe the easiest of all boats to be simply launched and retrieved carefully via a drive on/off at the ramp.

There are plenty of “no name” cats on the market promising the world, but if you simply want the household name in trailerable cats, the Kevlacat 1900 Offshore must be in the mix for its maximum capabilities and performance seldom found in such a trailerable package.
