Clark 520 Sun Seeker Bowrider

The summer boating season is quickly approaching, John Crawford Marine has started stocking and securing some wonderful bowriders in preparation for the summer buying rush.

This one owner since new Clark 520 Sunseeker has just been assigned “JCM Certified” after being inspected and refurbished by the JCM workshop and is now ready for the next family to enjoy.

The alloy bow rider is by far, the ultimate allrounder for the boating family – fish – ski – social – chillax. If the weather turns on the way home, the parents have the weather protection behind the windscreen and the kids can enjoy the thrill (when safe), to sit up on the bow lounge…

Since new, this wonderful package has had regular upgrades fitted including: a dual battery system, the superb stereo system from Fusion with 4 speakers, a ski pole for the families that enjoy water skiing/tubing and tobogganing, along with quality covers as photographed.

At the time of ordering new, the standard 90Hp outboard was upgraded to the high performance PRO XS model from Mercury and a maximum 115Hp motor fitted. Further providing Mercury’s known 4 stroke economy but with finer tuning for the added performance of the PRO XS series.

When taking the marketing photos, the boat was beside a competitor’s bowrider of similar length, it soon become glaringly apparent the "volume and size" of this Clark 520 with it’s high internal freeboard and generous beam made the other boat look rather “small” by comparison. All adding up to better stability at rest and if young ones are aboard, they are literally "in the" boat.

On the Water

Bowriders are a wonderful all-rounder boating design and this one has been built with a walk-through transom and well designed boarding ladder. A great feature to have as after a swim, ski or snorkel, reboarding is easy for young and the old. 

Seating is also offered from bow to stern with a very comfortable bow lounge including the infill cushions, a ¾ rear lounge and 2 comfortable bolstered seats midship, offering seating for 6 in inshore waters.  Overhead protection from the sun is offered by the large bimini top that also easily folds down when being towed or stored in the bimini sock. Along with front and side clears, bow cover and also included is a boat storage cover.

Storage is found throughout the boat, bow to stern - up under the bow cushions, side pockets and under the floor, plenty of places to store the day’s gear - towels, safety equipment and fishing and ski gear.

The helm is comfortable for us tallies, with everything in arms reach and a comfortable skipper’s and second mates chair.  A Lowrance Hook 4x colour screen fish finder is installed, phone holder, a GME VHF radio and the quality sound system from Fusion Link.

On the Trailer

The rig is trailered on a quality Oceanic V Loader TSL5.1-13B13 braked trailer manufactured in July 2019 that marries to the hull like a glove.

The design of the trailer incorporates the V-Load system, whereby the rear of the trailer is cut away allowing the V of the hull to snuggle into when retrieving at the ramp…. Makes this chore, a simple affair even in cross current or winds!

Like all trailers sold through JCM they are workshop inspected and serviced. This trailer has had 2 light truck tyres fitted, along with new brake discs/new wheel bearings and brake pads fitted to ensure onroad roadworthy compliance and to ensure your towing confidence on handover.
