New Arvor 215AS for 2009 PDF Print E-mail

Fresh from Europe, the new Arvor 215AS is set to make its Queensland’s debut at the upcoming Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show in May 2009, joining the recent successful release of the dynamic Arvor 280AS.

The 215AS arrives at a perfect time for boat buyers worried by rising fuel costs and looking for more frugal and efficient diesel alternatives. Again the asymmetrical style of the Arvor range has been adopted, giving even better access to the bow with a very large walk around on the starboard side.

The 2009 model Arvor 215’s, are fitted with the new Cummins CMD QSD - 4 cylinder, 115 HP common rail diesel engine. As with all Arvor boats, the 215AS is a direct shaft drive. Proving to be even more fuel efficient and quieter than before, these new electronic engines will certainly be well accepted.

2009 Tinnie and Tackle Show
Customers enjoying the display of quality used boats for sale at our stand
John Crawford Marine stand popular again at the 2009 Tinnie and Tackle Show

The 2009 Tinnie and Tackle Show held at the RNA show grounds in Brisbane during April was a great success for John Crawford Marine. The stand once again proved very popular with customers enquiring about recent sales, consignment and buying a used boat.

Our staff spent many an hour with new and past customers discussing their boating needs and what they are looking for when selling or buying a boat. However interestingly many responses were the same – service and understanding - not just price. This should be taken as a reminder to the new boat market that many consumers still want quality although money may be tight and they want experienced sales staff to understand there needs.

John Crawford Marine also provided free valuations for people who brought in some photos of their pride and joy for possible trade in values and retail value. This service was provided as we had received feedback that many dealers didn’t have the resources nor experience in the used boat market to confidently value trade ins.

Since the show John Crawford Marine has purchased many boats from dealers that don’t want to hold up cash flow or lack the room for second hand boats. Also boats were purchased and consigned from sellers looking to avoid the hassles and pit falls of private selling.

Remember if you are thinking about selling a quality used trailer boat not to hesitate in contacting our professional and experienced sales staff.

From all the staff of John Crawford Marine, we hope to see you again at the 2009 Brisbane International Boat Show.

Advertised prices of Used Cars sold through dealerships will need to be ‘All Inclusive’ by law soon  John Crawford Marine believes for consumers benefit the Marine Industry should also adopt the practice.

As owner of John Crawford Marine, our company policy is to market and advertise our boats inclusive of all costs together with administration and delivery costs. This is fair practise for the consumer and I believe that our industry should follow suit and make all inclusive pricing mandatory and transparent.

Arvor 230AS

Another red letter week for John Crawford Marine with the hand over and delivery of an Arvor 230AS to a very excited and satisfied client. Mr. Smith has been boating most of his life and has accumulated many commercial sea hours working on trawlers. As Mr. Smith commented “most boats on today’s market are not built with longevity in mind and few have the option of diesel power and shaft drive. The Arvor even has a bow thruster as standard fare!”
