Facebook is joined by invitation which means John Crawford Marine can look after the customer base that it chooses and the customers then feel they have been notified more personally rather than just an Enewsletter sent to the masses. Mr Hodson said “Enewsletters will still remain an important way of us informing our loyal customer base of issues relating to Marine News, but Facebook is live and interactive 24 hours a day.”
John Crawford Marine advertises in over 8 of Australia’s leading boat sales sites and this full time task is maintained by Sheree Laurie who has also managed the integration to Facebook. “We are now confident that our reach to potential and existing customers is second to none in terms of marketing used boats” says Sheree. Although it is full time job for Sheree to maintain, “the customer’s feedback is always positive, as most dealers and brokers do not make the effort with online photography, explanation of product and disclosure of condition” said Mr Hodson.
