Matthew Hodson, The Boss

Matthew commenced working at John Crawford Marine in 1999 in sales and liked it so much, he bought the company five years later making him JCM’s third owner. His passion for boating and Marine Industry related issues is evident. He is a Board Director of Marine Queensland (the industry’s representative body), as well assiting with boat show committees and is a regular contributor to boating magazines and presenter. Matthew also works with Queensland Police Boat Investigation and Queensland Transport in an advisory role.

Anita Hodson, The Boss’ Boss

Anita maintains the administration role including accounts and bookkeeping for John Crawford Marine. Since joining the company in 2003 she more than capably combines this role whilst also raising her and Matthew’s three children, Ryan and Gemma and Toby.

When Anita isn’t doing admin at JCM, she enjoys nothing more than spending time with family, friends and, of course, boating.

Eric Jones, Service Manager

Eric’s wealth of practicable knowledge in marine mechanics is legendary. Eric started working at John Crawford Marine in the late 80’s. Since completing his apprenticeship with OMC some 25 years ago he has become the ultimate problem solver. Eric services all major brands sold through John Crawford Marine and also ensures all trailers are sold in roadworthy condition.

When not working in the workshop, Eric can be found socialising with family and friends or riding his beautiful motor bike in the hills west of Brisbane.

Sheree Lawrie, Office Manager

Sheree has a difficult position keeping the sales team in check and the paperwork up to date! With 6 years' service in the Royal Australian Navy and many years working in the Body Corporate scene, she knows how to keep us boys in line! With fluent phonetics and Morse Code, she can interpret almost any message!

Spare time is spent looking after her 3 boys (one husband and two children) and enjoying all the great world of boating and camping has to offer.

Stephen Fields, Sales Professional

Stephen joins JCM with many years of boating experience in and out of the industry. Having worked with one of Australia’s largest boating Sounder / GPS companies for 15 years his practical and expert knowledge is second to none! His main interests lie with cruising the bay comfortably with family and friends and weekends are spent with diving around the bay. For solid non biased advice, feel free to call Stephen and discuss your boating needs.

Geoff Reinke, Sales Professional

Geoff has joined the sales team at John Crawford Marine. With a lifetime of boating knowledge and enthusiasm for helping the first time boat buyer, you can be assured of quality advice and unbiased service.

With a passion for fishing and caravanning he also keeps his finger on the pulse for "where and what" is biting!

Ron Edwards, Sales Professional

Ron joined John Crawford Marine in 1987 specialising in the sale of Trailer Sailers and his knowledge of trailer sailers is second to none. He welcomes the opportunity to share this knowledge with you as he proudly walks you through the stock on offer at John Crawford Marine.

Now semi-retired, Ron shares his time with us, his wonderful family and his beloved sail boat.

Rohan Paterson, Workshop hand

Rohan is currently studying for his Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree, with only 2 years of external studying left, his role is helping Eric and the sales team with deliveries and mechanical assistance. Rohan most enjoys the on water demonstrations! Has a passion for boating, camping, trail bike riding and fishing. Any Civil Engineering business looking for a graduate in the near future should contact us. Rohan's work ethic is second to none, punctuality and attention to detail is excellent. He is a very valuable team member at JCM and will become a great Engineer upon completion of his studies.

Jack Nicholas, General Hand

Jack has one of the harder jobs at JCM, maintaining the presentation of the yard stock and consignment boats. Rain, hail or shine he is out there with either the vacuum or the chamois keeping the boats presented beautifully. We are often complimented by customers as having the cleanest boats in the Brisbane area which is testament to Jacks hard work. When not at work Jack is either skateboarding, camping or out in the boat!
